The Call of Faith & God’s Everlasting Covenant — Summary of Week 3 Torah Reading with Pastor Israel

Week 3 — Nov 8, 2025

Parashat Lech Lecha (Genesis 12:1 – 17:27)
Theme: The Call of Faith and God’s Everlasting Covenant

In this powerful teaching, we explore the journey of faith through the life of Abraham (Avraham) — from his first call to “Lech Lecha” (Go forth) to the moment God seals His covenant with him. Each step of Abraham’s walk reveals timeless truths about trust, obedience, and God’s unshakable promises.

Chapters:

1️⃣ The Call to Step Out in Faith (Genesis 12:1–9) — God calls Abram to leave the familiar and trust Him completely. Faith begins when we step out in obedience, not knowing where the road leads.

2️⃣ Faith and Human Failure (Genesis 12:10–20; 13:1–4) — Even when Abram falters in fear, God remains faithful. His mercy restores us when we fall.

3️⃣ The Covenant of Promise (Genesis 15:1–21) — God confirms His promises through an everlasting covenant, foreshadowing the redemptive work of Yeshua, the true Seed of Abraham.

4️⃣ The Sign of the Covenant (Genesis 17:1–27) — Abram becomes Abraham, and God marks His people with a new identity — now fulfilled in the circumcision of the heart through the Spirit.

Messianic Insight:
From Abram’s journey to Yeshua’s call to His disciples, this message reveals the heart of God’s redemptive plan — a call to trust, to surrender, and to walk as heirs of His promises.

Reflection Question:
What is God asking you to leave behind in this season so you can fully follow His call?
