The Hebrew month of Nisan
the true Jewish New Year according to the Bible

According to Exodus 12:1-2, the Jewish new year starts on the 1st of Nisan, which is called: “the beginning of months”. Interestingly enough, God commanded each family to select a lamb on the tenth of Nisan, which will be slaughtered on the 14th of Nisan and will serve as a Passover sacrificial lamb, because that very night is when the whole house of Israel will celebrate Passover.
