Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.
Psalm 2:1-3
There’s a certain tendency we are seeing in the world today; nations are rising more and more against Israel and her people.
The Bible is applicable to us not only as nations, but also individuals. It can be applied to your life and situations as well. When you serve God and try to lead a godly life, there will always be those who will turn on you and rise against you.
This scripture is the very same one that apostles used when they first faced religious persecutions in Jerusalem.
However, in the same scripture there’s encouragement. When we cry out to God and share what burdens us, His response in Psalm 2:4 empowers us:
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
God will laugh at the enemy’s plans, He will turn it into dust. Can you imagine? In the face of harsh persecution and uprising against us, God isn’t even fazed. In fact, He laughs!
When you’re praying for God’s protection against the enemy’s attacks, just remember: God laughs at the enemy’s plan against you.
If your trust the Lord with your life, know that when you’re facing resistance and obstacles placed by the enemy in your path, God scoffs at that, He laughs, because there isn’t a shred of doubt that nothing the enemy can throw your way will ever overpower God’s protection and plan for you life.
