We live in the days when biblical prophecies are coming to pass before our very eyes, even as we witness how the world is changing.
Today Israel is fighting a war on seven fronts: Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Iran. However, there’s an eight invisible front—spiritual warfare, and it is the most critical and difficult one.
But God made a promise in the Bible:
The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Deuteronomy 28:7
Israel is undoubtedly facing its most challenging season since its establishment in 1948. Never had we imagined we would be able to fight a war launched against us from seven different directions, all the while leading a (somewhat) normal life, thriving, developing new cutting-edge technologies and innovations that benefit all mankind, and being a blessing for the nations despite everything. All this is taking place while Israel isn’t only fighting to defend itself, but sacrificing everything in order to weaken and bring terrorism to its knees, the same one that also threatens Europe and U.S. from within.
Israel is fighting God’s wars, which is why it is experiencing so much grace and favor of the Lord.
We witness miracles every day here in the land, His supernatural comfort and presence, and how He is touching and transforming lives every day in Israel.
As you continue to pray for Israel in these critical days, I want to encourage you to not fear for Israel, despite what you may see or hear, because we stand firmly on God’s eternal promises!
Living in prophetic times such as these is extremely remarkable, because we get to witness age-old prophecies coming to pass before our eyes, and YOU and I get to be a part of it.
Everything that is happening in Israel right now is also connected to YOU because you are a big part of God’s story through Jesus.
A few days ago Jews in Israel as well as all over the world celebrated Simchat Torah (Joy of Torah), which is one of the biblical feasts that carries a hidden meaning. In the Bible, it is called Shemini Atzeret, when after seven-day celebration of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) we are called to hold a holy assembly on the eighth day.
While Sukkot represents the coming of God’s Kingdom on earth, when peace will reign, and people will serve the Lord in joy, Shemini Atzeret represents New Jerusalem that will descend from heaven and we will be with the Lord forever.
Shemini Atzeret is held on Simchat Torah, which is the conclusion of the yearly reading cycle of weekly Torah portions. According to Jewish tradition, on the day we celebrate as Simchat Torah God gave the people of Israel the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Moses.
But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
Isaiah 43:1
There is nothing that can change this mighty promise of God. Throughout history even when Israel went astray and made mistakes, God never changed His word. He said “YOU ARE MINE”, and that is eternal.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Isaiah 43:2
Israel’s story is one of restoration and redemption. He never promised an easy path for His people, in fact He describes a journey filled with obstacles, passing through waters and fire, experiencing the raging power of these things, but it will only make them stronger. God promises that His people will withstand everything and come out as gold from the fire of terror and threat around them.
Think about your own life; what are you facing right now? Whatever it is, God is speaking into your life just like He speaks over Israel, saying: “Fear not! I’m with you, I’m your Redeemer, you are MINE!”
Even as I speak these words over your life, I can sense God releasing His power into your life to see miracles in the midst of sorrows and attacks, as well as give you the supernatural ability to withstand any pressure and become stronger through your journey.
He seals it with an eternal promise:
For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:3
These are difficult days, yet these are also the times when we see God’s power, miracles and His presence as never before.
May this prayer release God’s redemptive power of the Holy Spirit over your life, to show His might, miracles, salvation and healings, because He is the Lord and YOU are HIS.
Lord, even as You bless Israel and help us walk through the raging waters and blazing fire, You promised it will not consume us, I pray You will bless our brothers and sisters in the nations in the same way. As they go through difficult times and tribulations, remind them of your faithfulness to Israel, and let them be encouraged that the same faithfulness and promises apply to them, that You will draw them out of many waters and make crooked places straight for them, just as you will for your nation Israel. I pray for breakthroughs in the midst of troubles, joy in the midst of sorrow, healing and restoration for their body, mind and soul.
