The Sea of Galilee:
Where Revival Is Stirring Again

Every time I come to the Sea of Galilee, I am reminded that we are standing in a place where the Gospel came alive. These shores witnessed the ministry of Yeshua—His miracles, His teaching, His calling of ordinary men and women to follow Him. Here, crowds gathered because they were hungry for the Word of God. Luke tells us,

“The multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God”

Luke 5:1

Two thousand years later, I believe something deeply significant is happening again. The Jewish people have returned to the land of Israel, and here in the very region where Yeshua once ministered, we are seeing more and more Israelis seeking God, worshiping Him, serving Him, and discovering faith in the Messiah.

For us, the Sea of Galilee has become much more than a place of biblical history. It has become a place of reconciliation, discipleship, and transformation. It was here that I met some of my first Arab brothers and sisters in Yeshua. We came together carrying different stories and sometimes difficult experiences, but we learned to listen to one another, pray for one another, and ask how we could bless and serve each other’s communities. Over the years, this region has continued to be a place where Jewish and Arab believers gather as one family in the Messiah. We have also used this area to disciple young people, train leaders and pastors, and invest in a new generation that will carry the Gospel forward.

And we have witnessed remarkable breakthroughs in evangelism.

By these shores, where crowds once gathered to hear Yeshua, we have seen gatherings of a thousand people at a time, and thousands more come to hear the Good News. We have prayed, preached, and watched people respond. When I read Luke 5 today, I cannot help but see the connection: there was a hunger for the Word of God then, and there is a hunger for God in Israel today. The same land that witnessed the miracles of Yeshua is still a place where lives are being changed. The Holy Spirit is moving, new congregations are growing, young people are being discipled, and Jewish and Arab believers are learning to walk together in reconciliation.

When you pray for Israel, I ask you to remember the Sea of Galilee, the Galilee, and the Golan Heights. Pray for the places where Yeshua walked and ministered. Pray for Jewish and Arab communities. Pray for reconciliation, for the raising up of disciples and leaders, and especially for the next generation. Pray that the spiritual hunger we are witnessing will grow and that many more will encounter the living Messiah.

It is time for revival at the Sea of Galilee. Yeshua performed miracles here two thousand years ago, and He is still transforming lives today. I believe there is much more to come.
