Iliya’s Story

Iliya’s story is quite impactful – a freshly graduated young man, hopeful and full of dreams at what the future holds. Then October 7th hits and Iliya’s life is turned upside down when he is called in as an active IDF reserve and sent into Gaza where he spent months fighting and risking his life.

During these months Iliya got engaged while still fighting in Gaza, then was discharged and married Daneen, a young American who left everything behind and moved to Israel to serve God and build His kingdom in the Land alongside Iliya.

After having faced and experienced the unthinkable, risking his life daily to defend his nation, remarkably it has brought greater clarity to his life about his calling to win the nation of Israel for Yeshua.

At such a young age Israelis are faced with life-changing circumstances and decisions that not only alter the course of their own lives but also the course of history because they form a part of God’s epic battle for the land and people of Israel.

Iliya’s story as well as many others are those of remarkable courage, resilience and absolute devotion to God’s kingdom and the people of Israel. They are our modern day watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem.

Listening to their testimonies in their own voice, seeing their faces, getting to know their hearts — you will realize that God raised in Israel a mighty generation of lions, willing to roar and fight for the truth of God no matter the cost.
