Parashat Bo (Exodus 10:1 – 13:16)
Theme: Redemption Through the Blood of the Lamb

1. Darkness Over Egypt (Ex. 10:1–29)
The plague of darkness (choshech, חֹשֶךְ) shatters Egypt’s pride and exposes helplessness without God’s light.
Hebrew Insight: Havdalah (הַבְדָּלָה — separation). God separates His people from judgment.
Application: Walking with God requires leaving the darkness of Egypt behind.

2. The Passover Lamb (Ex. 12:1–28)
A lamb without blemish is sacrificed, and its blood applied to the doorposts for protection from death.
Hebrew Key Words:
Pesach (פֶּסַח — Passover)
Dam (דָּם — blood)
Messianic Connection: Yeshua, the sinless Lamb of God, offers His blood for the world’s redemption.
Application: SalvaZikaron received, not earned — shelter in the blood leads to freedom.

3. Israel Sets Out (Ex. 12:29 – 13:16)
Egypt collapses under judgment, and Israel begins its journey to freedom. God commands them to remember this day forever.
Hebrew Key Word: Zikaron (זִכָּרוֹן — remembrance).
Application: Remembering past redemption strengthens trust for future trials.
