Understanding Shavuot and Your Part in Israel’s Restoration

There’s something truly special about preaching the gospel during God’s appointed feasts.

Tomorrow Israel will begin celebrating Shavuot – the Feast of Firstfruits and Dedication. It is also Pentecost season, and what could be a more fitting time to hold an evangelism event than at a time when God released the power of the Holy Spirit on earth?

Preaching the gospel during biblical feasts here in Israel carries a very special anointing. Especially during Shavuot – Pentecost – when the Holy Spirit came to help us fulfill the Great Commission, which Jesus gave us.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:19

The Lord’s message of hope and salvation needs to reach people now more than ever, especially here in Israel where hope oftentimes is such a precious commodity.

If you ever wondered how you can have a lasting life-changing impact, being involved and supporting evangelism in Israel is precisely that.

There are no shortcuts. Preaching the gospel is still the way to salvation, in Israel just like everywhere else. It is up to us to take up our discipleship calling and bring the gospel to our nation.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Romans 1:16

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Ani Hu (אֲנִי הוּא) —
I Am He

We live in a world where so much can change without warning. Plans change, circumstances change, people change, and sometimes things we thought were secure suddenly become uncertain. When that happens, our attention naturally goes to the problem in front of us.  We want to know what will happen, how God will answer, and what […]

When God Speaks of Zion:
His Protection, His Peace, His Blessing Over You

“Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.” Psalm 147:12–13 Jerusalem is a city the whole world seems to have an opinion about. For more than three thousand years, kingdoms have fought over her, nations have watched […]

Praying for you from Biblical Jaffa:
God still has the final Word

Shalom from Jaffa—biblical Joppa, one of the ancient cities of Israel and a place where remarkable events recorded in Scripture unfolded. As I stand here today, I am praying for you. I may not know exactly what you are facing as you read these words, what situation you have been bringing before the Lord, or what has […]

The beginning they didn’t expect
Finding new life in Israel

Anna had only recently made Aliyah with her three children. As a single mother, she was beginning again in Israel with a 20-year-old son and two daughters, sixteen and five—new surroundings, a new rhythm of life, and so much still uncertain. Then, during one of our recent times together with new Olim, our team began […]

When the Stones begin to speak
Six lives changed in Biblical Jaffa

They had made Aliyah only two months earlier, and life in Israel was already weighing heavily on them. So when Irina found herself on a small bus heading toward Jaffa and asked what kind of excursion they had joined, our team gave her a simple answer: “We just want you to spend the day with […]

How will they hear?
Bringing the gospel within reach

There are Israelis who have lived their entire lives in the land of the Bible and have never once heard the Gospel clearly explained to them. They know the names of Abraham, Moses, David, and the prophets. They walk the same land where Yeshua lived and ministered. Many know His name—but know Him only as the […]
