Who does Jerusalem belong to?
Searching out the ancient depths of Jerusalem

A question that has been at the heart of the storm surrounding Israel for centuries, even millennia, is:

“Who does Jerusalem belong to?”

The question is complex, but the answer is actually surprisingly simple. Jerusalem is a subject that consistently features in world news, and it has been the epicenter of many wars and conflicts throughout the ages. What exactly is all the furor about, and why is Jerusalem so important? The Bible posed the question very well:

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure:“Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.”

Psalm 2:1-6

There is a fierce spiritual battle taking place for the heart of Jerusalem, as it takes center stage in God’s plan of salvation for mankind. From the day that Abraham was sent to sacrifice Isaac on Mount Moriah; to the day when Yeshua laid down His life on the cross in Jerusalem and until He once again returns and descends onto the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem will be the staging ground for the great end-time harvest.
