Walking in the Footsteps of Peter and Cornelius:
A Day of Faith and Connection

Last week, something truly special happened.

Beit Hallel’s follow-up team took a group of non-believers on an unforgettable journey to the ancient cities of Jaffa and Caesarea. But this wasn’t just another sightseeing trip—it was a day packed with faith, meaningful conversations, and moments that touched hearts in powerful ways.

The day started in Jaffa, a city that feels like stepping straight into the pages of the Bible. The group gathered outside a house traditionally believed to be the place where Peter received his vision—a vision that changed everything. As the team shared the story from Acts 10, they reflected on how God opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles, showing His love wasn’t just for Israel but for every nation. It’s hard not to feel the weight of that moment while standing where it all began.

As they wandered through Jaffa’s beautiful old streets, you could sense the group’s excitement and purpose. They paused to pray together, stopped to chat with locals, and shared the hope of Yeshua in simple, authentic ways—through small acts of kindness and genuine conversations. Sergey, one of the team members, brought the history of Jaffa to life, sharing fascinating insights about its biblical and cultural significance.

He has a way of making these ancient places feel personal, and the group loved it.

From Jaffa, they headed north to Caesarea, another city with deep ties to the early church. This was where Cornelius, a Roman centurion, became one of the first Gentile believers after Peter visited him. Although the group didn’t pinpoint exactly where Cornelius’s house might have been, being in the city where the Gospel first started spreading to the nations felt profound. You could see it on people’s faces—they knew they were standing in a place where history and faith collide.

One of the most touching parts of the day was the presence of a couple visiting from Ukraine. They’re leaders of a church called the “House of Cornelius,” which is made up entirely of military officers serving in the war. Hearing their story was nothing short of inspiring. Despite the chaos and danger they face daily, their faith in Yeshua is rock-solid. They shared their testimony with the group, prayed with everyone, and offered words of encouragement that hit straight to the heart.

Their example of standing firm in the faith, even in the middle of the war, left everyone deeply moved.

Later, Pastor Igor from Hadera joined the group in Caesarea. He has an incredible gift for storytelling, and as he shared the city’s history, you could see how engaged everyone was. It’s not every day you hear the stories of the Bible come to life right where they happened!

As the day wrapped up, the group headed to Hadera for a meal together. Over delicious food, laughter and heartfelt conversations flowed naturally. Strangers started to feel like family. It was one of those moments where you realize how much we’re all connected, and it felt like a small glimpse of God’s kingdom.

Sergey and Pastor Igor shared their personal faith journeys with the group during this time, and it was so powerful. As they opened up about God’s faithfulness in their lives, the room shifted. You could feel hearts softening and opening. Some people had tears in their eyes, while others leaned in, hanging on every word. God was moving in that space, no doubt about it.

To close the night, Pastor Igor shared the Gospel in the simplest and most beautiful way, talking about how Yeshua’s love can completely transform lives. Then they prayed together, asking God to touch every heart in the room. And in that sacred moment, something amazing happened—several people opened their hearts to God’s love for the very first time.

Since that day, the team has kept in touch with those who attended, continuing to build relationships and walk with them as they explore their faith. Some are already asking more questions, wanting to dig deeper, and we’re praying they’ll take that next step and fully surrender their lives to Yeshua.

This is what Beit Hallel is all about—meeting people where they are, sharing God’s love, and watching Him work in ways that only He can. It’s amazing how God uses even the smallest steps of obedience to do big things.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Your prayers and support make days like this possible. Please keep praying for these precious souls and for God to continue His beautiful work in their lives.

Together, we’re witnessing His glory in the land of Israel, one life at a time.

Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]
