Walking With Israelis on the Journey of Faith

Walking With Israelis on the Journey of Faith
Walking With Israelis on the Journey of Faith

When Julia and Mikhail first came to our warehouse to receive clothing, they had already been living in Israel for two years as new Jewish immigrants. Yet, despite living in the very land where the Bible unfolded, they had never experienced it through the lens of Scripture. They had never joined a biblical excursion to see the places where God’s Word came alive—even though it is part of their own heritage.

During their visit to the warehouse, Julia and Mikhail began asking questions about who we are and why we do what we do. Our staff listened and responded warmly, but they also knew this couple needed more than a one-time answer. They connected Julia and Mikhail with our follow-up team—dedicated staff members who walk with people after their first encounter, encouraging them, praying with them, and helping them take the next steps of faith.

As our team began to build a relationship with Julia and Mikhail, Julia eventually opened up about her struggles. She shared her deep fear of traveling by car after a serious accident, and the anxiety that overwhelmed her whenever conflict broke out in Israel. These fears often left her feeling paralyzed and alone. Gently, our team reminded her of God’s promises—that fear does not come from Him, but that He gives peace and freedom to those who trust Him.

One day, our team member Rina met with Julia to encourage her and pray. During that meeting, Rina felt led to bless her with a small book called God’s Peace, along with a simple prayer of salvation. Julia admitted that the only prayer she knew was the Lord’s Prayer, and she was eager to read the book and learn more. As Rina shared her own testimony of how God had met her through prayer and filled her life with peace, Julia’s eyes lit up with hope. With gratitude, she accepted the book and promised to start praying at home. Before leaving, Rina prayed with her in the Name of Yeshua, asking Him to break the grip of fear and fill Julia’s heart with His perfect peace. It was just one step—but it felt like the beginning of a new journey with God.

Not long after, something shifted in Julia’s heart. Encouraged by what she had experienced, she and Mikhail made a bold decision: they registered for one of our upcoming biblical excursions. These trips are so much more than sightseeing—they are life-changing experiences where the Scriptures come alive, hearts open, fears are lifted, and people are drawn closer to Yeshua.

Julia and Mikhail’s story is a reminder that discipleship is not a sprint—it’s a marathon. Our follow-up team walked with them step by step, listening, praying, and encouraging them. And God, in His faithfulness, began to bring change. We trust that He will continue the good work He has started in their lives.

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Messiah Yeshua.”

Philippians 1:6

Where Fear Meets Faith –
David and Goliath’s Battleground

The Valley of Elah once became a stage for two armies: the Israelites and the Philistines. On opposing hills they stood, divided by the valley floor, the air heavy with fear and anticipation. Between them towered Goliath—massive, armored, and mocking God’s people. For forty days, he taunted Israel, reducing an entire army to silence and […]

Women’s Meeting Praise Report –
Anchors of Strength, Vessels of Love

Recently, we gathered for a very special women’s meeting built around the theme: “A Big Heart.” These gatherings have become a precious time where Jewish women from different backgrounds—Russian, Ukrainian, Ethiopian, and native-born Israelis—come together not only to receive encouragement but also to strengthen one another in faith. The atmosphere that day was filled with laughter, joy, […]

A Fresh Start with God –
Entering the Month of Elul

We’ve just stepped into a very special time on God’s calendar—the new month of Elul. In Israel, every month begins when people spot the new moon. God gave Israel His calendar so we could live with Him in rhythm, not just counting days but dedicating them. Every week we celebrate Shabbat, and every month we celebrate […]

When God Knows the Whole Story:
The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

Marina* came to our Sukkot celebration carrying a fear she could do nothing about. Her son was in prison in Ukraine, badly wounded, and she did not know what would happen to him. She had no idea that among the people she would meet that day was someone whose own story would touch hers in […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week: Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) — The LORD Is My Strength

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

“Don’t Forget Us. Come Again” —
Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
