When a Heart Finally Says “Yes” —
A Testimony of Salvation

Every week, our Follow-Up Team goes out with one goal: to love people consistently, patiently, and faithfully — trusting that God will work in hearts in His perfect timing. Most of the time, the fruit isn’t immediate. But then there are days when long-awaited answers suddenly appear, reminding us why this ministry matters so deeply.

This week was one of those days.

During one of their regular prayer meetings at a local old age home, the team was lifting up the people they minister to — praying for salvation, open hearts, and new opportunities to share the Gospel with clarity and compassion. That very same day, the Lord answered in a remarkable way. Two individuals surrendered their lives to Yeshua — including Mikhail, a man the team had been walking alongside for many years.

A Relationship Built Slowly — One Conversation at a Time

Mikhail, a professional chess player, is the kind of person who considers every decision carefully. He is thoughtful and analytical, never rushing into anything. Over the years, Oleg and others on our team connected with him in dozens of small interactions — brief conversations after humanitarian distributions, chats on the street, questions asked in passing. They shared Scripture, testimonies, and answers to his doubts, always gently and without pressure.

Mikhail often admitted that the Gospel touched him more deeply than the traditions he grew up with.

Sometimes he was visibly moved. And yet, he always concluded with the same line:“Not for me. Not yet.”Still, our team kept planting seeds. They prayed for him by name — including during those prayer meetings at the old age home. They invested in him without expectations. And though nothing seemed to change on the surface, God was quietly working in his heart.

God’s Perfect Timing in an Ordinary Moment

This week, Oleg unexpectedly crossed paths with Mikhail again — a simple, everyday encounter that turned out to be a divinely appointed moment. They spoke briefly, and Oleg shared about visiting a man of similar age who had repented at the very end of his life. His words weren’t meant to pressure Mikhail, but to help him recognize the urgency and beauty of choosing eternal life while there is still time.

Then Oleg asked a question he had asked many times before: “Do you want to pray and be sure that when you leave this life, you will be with the Lord?” For the first time in all these years, Mikhail didn’t hesitate. He didn’t push the question aside. He said quietly, with conviction: “Yes… I think it’s time. I want that.”

They sat together on a nearby bench and prayed — a simple, sincere prayer of repentance and surrender. Mikhail repeated each word slowly and deliberately, as if embracing each truth. When the prayer ended, he hugged Oleg tightly.

Oleg handed him a printed copy of the prayer to take home, and Mikhail said he would pray it again with his wife so she could understand what God had done in his heart. He held the paper close and said: “I will. Absolutely.” Heaven rejoiced over that moment — one more son of Israel finding his Messiah.

Why This Testimony Matters

Stories like this show the true value of persistent love and patient follow-up. Many salvations are not sudden events; they grow out of years of conversations, prayers, and consistent care — including those heartfelt moments of intercession at the old age home.

Yeshua is still opening hearts.
He is still touching lives across Israel.
And He is still honoring every seed sown in faith.

Every conversation matters. Every seed matters. Every prayer matters. God is moving — often quietly, but always powerfully.

Revealing the Light of Yeshua:
Christmas and Hanukkah Outreach in Jerusalem

December has a way of opening hearts in Jerusalem. The city slows down, winter lights warm the streets, and conversations naturally turn toward miracles, hope, and the stories that shaped our faith. A Hanukkah Celebration of Welcome –
Honoring Jewish Immigrant Children and Their Families

Hanukkah is just days away — the Jewish Festival of Lights, celebrating the moment when God miraculously provided for His people. When the Temple in Jerusalem was rededicated after the Maccabean revolt, only one small jar of oil was found, enough for a single day. Yet God caused it to burn for eight full days, […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. Hebrew Word of the Week:

The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time.
