When the Bible Comes Alive:
Investing in Israel’s Next Generation

One afternoon, after hiking through the Judean wilderness, a group of young people stood together with open Bibles. The hike itself had been memorable, but now something quieter was happening. Questions were being asked. Connections were being made. Passages they had read for years suddenly felt different as they looked out over the very landscape where so much of biblical history took place.

It was one of those moments that reminds you why investing in the next generation matters.

That scene captures the heart of our Summer Youth Discipleship project, which brings together young believers from across Israel to grow in God’s Word, serve others, and build friendships rooted in their faith. Just two weeks into the journey, we’re already witnessing encouraging signs of spiritual growth—not because of one extraordinary event, but because of the many ordinary moments God is using to shape young lives.

If you spent a day with this group, you would quickly discover that discipleship rarely happens all at once. It happens conversation by conversation, prayer by prayer, and experience by experience.

One day they’re walking through places they’ve only read about in Scripture. The next, they’re packing food boxes for families in need, discovering that faith is not only something to study but something to live. By evening, they gather for worship, spend time in prayer, and continue conversations that often stretch long after the guitars have been put away.

It’s in these moments that something beautiful begins to happen. Young people who arrived barely knowing one another begin to feel like family. They encourage each other, ask honest questions, wrestle with Scripture together, and grow in confidence as they learn what it means to follow Yeshua—not only in church, but in everyday life.

None of these moments may seem remarkable on their own. But together, they are helping shape a generation that knows God’s Word, serves others with compassion, and is learning to build its life on a foundation of faith.

Scripture reminds us,

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

We hold on to that promise because discipleship is rarely about dramatic moments. More often, it is built through faithful investment, consistent encouragement, and countless conversations that God uses over time.

That is why our Summer Youth Discipleship project exists.

It creates space for young people to encounter Scripture in meaningful ways, experience the land of the Bible firsthand, serve others with compassion, and build Christ-centered friendships that will continue long after this summer has ended.

Would you consider sowing financially into our Summer Youth Discipleship project? Your generosity helps provide biblical teaching, personal mentoring, meals, transportation, ministry opportunities, and a safe, encouraging environment where young believers can grow deeply in their faith.

Please also pray that God will draw these young people closer to Himself, establish them firmly in His Word, surround them with godly friendships, and give them courage to follow Yeshua faithfully in every area of their lives.

Together, through giving and prayer, we can help Israel’s next generation build a faith that will influence families, congregations, workplaces, and communities for years to come.

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

Marina* came to our Sukkot celebration carrying a fear she could do nothing about. Her son was in prison in Ukraine, badly wounded, and she did not know what would happen to him. She had no idea that among the people she would meet that day was someone whose own story would touch hers in […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

“Don’t Forget Us. Come Again” —
Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
