When Women Stand Together: The Quiet Strength That Changes Lives

When Women Stand Together: The Quiet Strength That Changes Lives

This week, nearly 75 women gathered for an evening of fellowship, worship, biblical encouragement, and prayer. Alongside women from our congregation were several ladies who first connected with us through our humanitarian ministry but had never before attended one of our women’s gatherings.

What began as a simple evening together soon became something much more meaningful, as conversations turned into friendships, prayers were shared openly, and women found a place where they could simply be honest before God and one another.

One unexpected moment captured the heart of the entire evening. Just before the meeting began, one of the ladies accidentally fell and struck her face. Shaken, embarrassed, and hurting, she quietly considered going home before the gathering had even started. Instead, the women around her immediately gathered to pray, encourage her, and stand beside her. Rather than leaving discouraged, she chose to stay.

By the end of the evening, she was smiling, deeply encouraged, and thanking everyone for surrounding her with such genuine love and care.

Watching that unfold reminded us that some of the most important work God does is almost impossible to photograph. It happens through quiet conversations, heartfelt prayers, words of encouragement, and simple moments when someone discovers they don’t have to carry life’s burdens alone. That is how discipleship is often built.

More often than not, it grows through relationships. It grows as women open God’s Word together, pray for one another, celebrate each other’s victories, and walk faithfully alongside one another through life’s challenges. These moments may never make headlines, but they often become the turning points that strengthen families, transform communities, and quietly shape the next generation.

Scripture encourages us to “encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Throughout the evening, we watched those words come alive. Hearts were strengthened, faith was renewed, and women left reminded that they are deeply loved by God and surrounded by sisters who genuinely care for them.

In a world where many women quietly carry heavy responsibilities, gatherings like these become a place to pause, breathe, and encounter God’s presence in a personal way. They also provide an opportunity for women who have never experienced the warmth of a Messianic congregation to discover authentic community, biblical hope, and the love of Messiah expressed through His people.

We are grateful to the Lord for evenings like this that remind us the Church is far more than a place we gather on weekends. It is a family where burdens are shared, faith is strengthened, and lives are transformed as God’s people walk together. As we watched women encourage one another this week, we were reminded that some of God’s greatest work happens not on a stage, but in ordinary moments of love, compassion, and faithful friendship.

When Faith Becomes Their Own:
Inside Our Summer Youth Discipleship Project

One of the greatest joys of discipleship is watching the moment when faith stops belonging to someone else and becomes personal. That is exactly what we have been witnessing this summer. Without anyone prompting them, many of the young people in our Summer Youth Discipleship Project have begun praying out loud. They are thanking God, […]

Sometimes Love Speaks First –
Galina’s Story

Some of the most meaningful ministry never begins with a sermon. It begins with a conversation, a helping hand, or a simple act of kindness that quietly earns the right to be heard. That is exactly how our friendship with Galina began. Just above our clothing warehouse is a facility for children with special needs. […]

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
