As temperatures drop in Israel, Beit Hallel Congregation has had the privilege to reach out with a vital mission of compassion and support. This past week, we had the incredible opportunity to provide winter relief sets to new Jewish immigrant families living in a kibbutz in northern Israel. These families are facing two very real challenges: adjusting to life in a new country and living under the constant threat of daily missile and drone attacks from Hezbollah across the Lebanese border. Their journey to Israel was meant to be one of hope and new beginnings, but for many, it has become a season of fear and hardship.
This Winter Relief Project is more than meeting physical needs—it’s a way to reach out with the love of God, to stand alongside these families as they weather the storm of winter and conflict. Our congregation and partners worldwide are committed to showing these families that they are not alone. Through this project, we let them know that they have friends who care deeply about their well-being and are lifting them up in prayer. We want them to feel the warmth not only of the blankets and bedding but of God’s love wrapped around them.
Each relief package contains essential items like comforters, blankets, pillows, and bedding—small touches that make a big difference for families trying to create a sense of home amidst the uncertainty. For just $40, one of these winter relief packages can be provided to a family in need. It’s a small investment with a profound impact, offering comfort, warmth, and hope in difficult times.
Would you consider joining us in this mission of compassion? Together, we can be a tangible reminder of God’s faithfulness, helping new immigrant families feel embraced and valued as they face this challenging season. Thank you for standing with us and with Israel, as we shine the light of God’s love even in the darkest times.
