Imagine growing up in the land of the Bible, knowing the stories of Abraham, Moses, David, and the prophets—and yet never realizing that the story of Yeshua belongs within that same story. For many Israelis, Yeshua is familiar only as the central figure of Christianity, someone associated with another religion and other nations. His name may be known, but His Jewish identity, His place within the Scriptures, and the Good News of what He came to do may never have been personally explained to them.
This is what makes our upcoming Fall Feasts outreach in the Galilee so significant. We are not simply bringing hundreds of Israelis north for a beautiful day. We are bringing them into the landscape of the Scriptures, where conversations about Yeshua can move from something distant and unfamiliar to something remarkably close: the Jewish Messiah, born among our people, walking this land, fulfilling the words of the prophets, and bringing the promise of salvation to Israel and to the nations.
There is a beautiful moment in Luke 24 when two disciples are walking toward Emmaus. They know the Scriptures. They know what has happened in Jerusalem. They even know the reports about the empty tomb—and yet they still do not understand. Then Yeshua comes alongside them and begins to open the Word:
“Beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”
Luke 24:27
Later they would say to one another,
“Did not our heart burn within us… while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:32
That picture speaks deeply to what we are preparing for in the Galilee. Our guests will travel through places they may already know as part of their own country and hear biblical stories they may have known since childhood, but this time we will have the opportunity to open those Scriptures together and speak about Yeshua within the story of Israel. Along the journey, around the tables, at biblical sites, and beside the Sea of Galilee, our team will share testimonies, answer questions, and help our guests see the connection between the promises of Scripture and the Messiah. Then, at the heart of the day, everyone will gather together and the Gospel will be preached clearly from the stage, giving hundreds of Israelis the opportunity to hear the Good News of Yeshua for themselves.
We cannot know what will happen in every heart. On the road to Emmaus, the disciples later realized that Yeshua had been working in their hearts before they fully understood what was happening. In the same way, someone may arrive in the Galilee simply expecting a day away. A Scripture may suddenly sound different. A testimony may answer a question they have carried quietly for years. A conversation may continue long after the bus ride home. Our responsibility is to bring them, love them, open the Word, and clearly proclaim Yeshua. What happens in the heart belongs to God.
